The art director – he winner of the State award of Belarus, People’s artist of Belarus Valentina GAEVAYA.
The team was established in 1974 at the Belarusian State Philharmonic by choreographers Valentina Gaevaya and Nikolaiy Dudchenko.
Since 1976, Valentina Gaevaya has been the longtime director and choreographer.
In 1975, the first tour in Denmark.
In 1977 the ensemble won the First Prize on the All-Union competition among professional dance companies, devoted to the 60th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution.
< p>Since 1976, the ensemble has toured every year overseas. «KHOROSHKI» toured with concerts almost all over Europe, were a triumph in the Middle East - Syria, Jordan, Afghanistan, Libya, UAE. The ensemble has successfully toured in India, Japan, China.
In fact, the scenic area for "HOROSHKI" has become virtually the entire Soviet Union - from Kaliningrad to the Far East, from Murmansk to Astrakhan. The team toured in Siberia and Kazakhstan, repeatedly gave concerts in Central Asia and Caucasus.
Ensemble "KHOROSHKI" is a participant of the most prestigious international film festivals - "Russian Winter", "Moscow Stars", "Tashkent golden autumn", "Kiev Spring", San Remo (Italy) and many others. The team participated in the opening of the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City in 2002.
"KHOROSHKI" are accompanied by their orchestra.
The ballet of the ensemble accounts for 60 professional dancers. The orchestra is 18 musicians and four vocalists.
Visiting team is formed from 25 to 60 people, depending on the program.
